Dr. Shamban understands the relationship between skin and well-being and is passionate about helping women and men look and feel their best through scientifically proven techniques and lifestyle changes. Patients and esteemed colleges say Dr. Shamban is a Skin Visionary who has Skin-Tuition – an uncanny ability that allows her to intuitively pinpoint behavioral causes of skin problems and envision treatments. She uses her instinct, as well as an extensive education and 20+ years of experience, to help patients of all ages restore and heal their skin and live happier lives.

After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University, Dr. Shamban received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Today, she is a pioneer in developing the holistic treatment approach to acne, acne scars, pigmentation problems and rosacea; has served as principal investigator on many clinical pharmaceutical and device trials that led to FDA approval; and has been widely published in prestigious medical journals. As a key opinion leader in the field, Dr. Shamban has lectured nationally and internationally on topics ranging from medical and cosmetic to laser dermatology.

In addition to serving as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the UCLA-Geffen School of Medicine, she is widely recognized for her breakthrough work as the ‘Extreme Makeover’ dermatologist and as one the current resident experts on the Emmy winning daytime talk show, ‘The Doctors.’ Dr. Shamban is also the author of the new book, Heal Your Skin: The Breakthrough Plan for Renewal (Wiley).
