Laser Resurfacing

Peeling of the skin usually lasts two to four days, and patients must take proper care and avoid the sun to protect the new skin from sun damage during the process. CO2 uses similar technology to resurface the epidermal layer of skin and tighten healthy new tissues. This procedure requires considerably longer downtime—often two weeks or more--but can produce amazing results.

AVA MD also offers the Erbium Yag laser, which resurfaces skin to eliminate both fine and deep lines as well as smooth scars from traumatic accidents, surgery and/or acne. It usually requires 2-4 treatments, depending on the site, but downtime after each is 3-5 days.
